The Foundation was established in the spirit of new international constellation, in which Poland was placed after joining the European community. From July 2004 Poland has a possibility and privilege to co-create the foreign policy of European Union. Despite the transformation in Poland after 1989 and the development of independent research institutions, the Middle Eastern affairs including Israel was rather on the margin of the scholarly research and analyses. Until today the issues connected with Israel are discussed and presented as marginal ones during the conferences related to Arabic issues or International Relations. Foundation Forum Israel-Poland-Europe hopes to fill this gap on the field of the polish science.       

The essential mission of the foundation is to initiate and perform the scholarly research, creating reports and analyses on the following subjects: Israeli-Palestinian peace process, foreign policy of the state of Israel, foreign policy of European Union and European countries towards middle eastern conflict and peace process, Polish-Israeli relations and Polish foreign policy towards the state of Israel.

The foundation’s mission is also to propagate and promote the knowledge about the state of Israel, its relations with the Arabic countries and the political processes on the Middle East. In order to carry out these goals the Foundation plans to co-operate with other institutions and universities. Creation of the specific analytic platform is not the only principle of the Foundation. The second important field of activity is an establishment of a platform of discussions on the aforementioned issues. This sphere of activity Foundation intends to implement by annual conference and internet portal www.forum-ipe.org.   

One of the important goals of the Foundation is to initiate the public debate on the question of Polish-Israeli relations and in the wider context European-Israeli relations. We believe that, the relations between the state of Israel and Poland, which has apparently been improved, requires the deeper discussion and analyze.

The Foundation focuses its interests on the following subjects:

- The state of Israel: social structure, parliament structure, foreign policy

- Israeli-Palestinian conflict

- Middle East peace process

- Foreign policy of Republic of Poland towards the state of Israel and Polish-Israeli relations.

- Israeli foreign policy towards Europe and European countries.

- Policy of European Union and European countries towards Israel, Palestinians, conflict and peace process.

- Policy of U.S. towards Israel, Palestinians and Middle Eastern conflict and peace process.

Keeping in mind the historical perspective, debates and disagreement towards these sensitive issues connected with the Middle Eastern conflict, Foundation accepts the following principles in its actions: objectiveness, fairness and independence.
