Political upheavals sweeping through the Middle East, the Arabian Peninsula and the Maghreb in the past few months have been reshaping geopolitical order in this region,

thus possibly complicating the situation of Israeli and regional security. From this perspective, the most important element of this “revolutionary domino” is Egypt. The provisional military council, which holds power, has declared that it would honor the peace agreement with Israel but no one can be sure how the situation evolves after elections scheduled for autumn.[english]
